I’ve been skipping from blog to blog for about a week now, trying to come up with something from the “unusual” department for our weekly digest. Something to keep you informed and interested. But 5 seconds ago I decided that maybe our regular “weeks” should be – at least from time to time – funny. Because that’s how PR can be (also from time to time): fun!
- Apparently, if you have a CEO who happens to understand the power of Public Relations and who also has a larger-than-average sense of humor, you can use him (or her) to deliver PR messages. But, wait, don’t write your message on a piece of paper… No, sir! Use your boss’s knickers. Readership is guaranteed! (Btw, despite the funniness, this is about business. Big business.)
- Maybe humor doesn’t sell PR. However, in the age of information, at least it may get you noticed. Like in the case of these PR stunts. I’m not sure what was Abercrombie & Fitch aiming at, though…
- If you have a Facebook account (LOL), please don’t use it to share sensitive information. Check this list before you post a single letter on a single network!. I for one laughed at item #4.
This is it for now. Just remember to do your PR with a smile upon your face.
